College
I studied Graphic Design and Ceramics at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH earning my BFA in 2008. My studies focused around Swiss Minimalist design, Japanese inspired ceramics, and the blending of art and landscape. I was also a member of the Colby-Sawyer Alpine Ski Team. I competed at the USCSA Nationals three out of four years, contributing to multiple team podium finishes. I was named Most Improved skier my Jr. year. My Sr. year I finished in the top ten for overall season finishes in my devision and was named Most Valuable Skier.
High School
I attended Spaulding High School in Rochester, NH where my elective studies explored Art, Graphic Arts, Computer Technology & Repair, and Architectural & Mechanical Drafting. I was a multi sport varsity athlete in Cross Country Running and Alpine Skiing, earning a total of eight varsity letters and two personal state championship titles in Alpine Skiing and Most Valuable Skier. My contributions to my teammates and fellow students awarded me a Leadership scholarship from Colby-Sawyer College after graduation.
Childhood
I grew up playing on the lakes and mountains of New Hampshire. Where I learned a deep appreciation for nature, art, and a DIY mentality. Always an athlete I dabbled in just about everything. I played a short stint of intramural basketball, many years of football, baseball from tee ball through Babe Ruth and the regional All Star team. In the winter I competed at the USSA and FIS level of Alpine ski racing. I got my start at King Pine Ski Area and then Skied for Cranmore Mountain and eventually the Mount Washington Valley Ski team. I spent any free time I had skiing in the park or the back country. In summer my free time was spent skateboarding, wakeboarding, mountain biking, and helping my parents with carpentry and landscaping projects. I also was a scout from Cub Scouts through Boy Scouts.
