Below you will find design examples showing a variety of media formats. Some of these campaigns were top level design direction and examples for global campaigns that were then handed off to Consumer Direct and Regional Teams for asset execution. Others were taken from concept to completion. Some were toolkits designed to evolve and live on for multiple seasons.
BURTON – A DAY FOR JAKE

This toolkit was created to live on for five seasons. The first season it was implemented lead to the most attended A Day for Jake to date.
Until this campaign was created, A Day for Jake lived on its own outside of the standard Burton creative look and feel. It was not branded as a Burton event. One of my tasks was to subtly bring Burton into the event identity. I did this through updating the typeface to the standard Burton Helvetica Now but used it in a unique way compared to our normal campaigns, bringing subtle Burton logo hits into the sticker pack and retail assets.  Finally, Jake Blue was already our brand color but I broke our 1:99 ratio to emphasize it further in this campaign to honor Jake's influence and legacy. This was implemented in the photo treatment, design elements, and by updating the 'Ride on Jake' flags to Jake Blue.
I worked with archivist Todd Kohlman and the Burton legal team to create a pre-approved photo and video library and collect usage rights. I then developed a photo treatment that could be used to bring consistency to photos from many eras and photographers.
